- Farm Viability Food Safety Grants available
The Vermont Farm Viability Program is holding its 4th round of grant funding for agricultural infrastructure businesses since 2009. This funding is specifically geared towards businesses processing, storing, aggregating, or distributing local food that need capital for food safety improvements.
- Workshop on Value-Added Food Safety 101 for Produce Growers: includes FSMA information
UVM Extension will be presenting a workshop on "Value-Added Food Safety 101 for Produce Growers" on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6-8:30PM at the Vermont Food Venture Center in Hardwick. Basic information on the Food Safety Modernization Act and Vermont food safety regulations for produce growers who do on-farm value-added processing will be provided.
